Guitars ripple and harps twinkle as Hutch breezily speed by on latest single ‘Ice on the Lake’. Inspired by the sensation of “childlike excitement” on a snowy day, of “seeing a place you’re quite used to being temporarily changed,” Hutch are a band on the edge of breaking through. Like a stone skimming on the water, the Brighton quartet commence by effortlessly bouncing along the surface, keeping pace throughout the verse before eventually allowing things to freeze over completely.
